Educator Support and Effectiveness (ESE) supports opportunities for all students to learn through advancing effective instructional and leadership practices. Simply stated, educators matter. Our goal drives all aspects of program design.
All programs administered through ESE are developmentally sequenced with sound theoretical and scholarly bases. Formative assessment, based on performance data, is used to provide targeted support to program candidates. Programs meet the guidelines for professional development required by Title II.
Credential programs are designed to connect what is learned in the teacher and administrator preparation programs to the roles and responsibilities of the educator's assignment. Candidates demonstrate and apply the professional knowledge and skills acquired in their preparation programs to meet the state-adopted competency requirements. Through consortium-created professional development, all candidates have access to a coherent program that is monitored for consistency of presentation.
The candidate’s role in their specific program is to practice job-embedded skills, and to acquire new knowledge and abilities that support student learning. Collaboration, inquiry into practice, and a willingness to be a reflective practitioner combine to enhance the quality of the candidate's practice.
ESE provides a rewarding experience that builds professional skills, fosters life-long peer relationships, and establishes positive instructional practices that impact the lives of students and their families.
