This role includes being a Student Governor on the College Governing Body and leads the SU student officers team with support from the Head of Student Participation and Careers and the Student Voice Coordinator
This role is line managed by the Head of Student Participation and Careers

The next step will be for candidates to attend a discussion panel event with the college Deputy CEO and Principle, the Vice Principal for Student Experience and the Head of Student Participation and Careers. Full support and advice will be provided for candidates ahead of this
The final step is for candidates to run in an online election where students will vote for their next SU President - week commencing 13th June
The successful candidate will then be announced and the DBS and other HE process will then be completed including the employment contract shared.
Vice President Roles: Welfare, Education and Activities
There are 3 Vice President roles: Welfare, Education and Activities
They are voluntary positions for current student to participate in alongside their studies
You need to be returning students and studying with the college in 2022-23
VP Welfare – This role is to champion well-being, to campaign and lead on welfare matters that affect students to support SU Officers (Black Students Officer, Women’s Officer, Disabled Students Officer and LGBT+ Officer) to work with students from across the college
VP Education – This role is to champion education, to campaign and lead on educational mattes that affect students and support SU Officers (HE Officer, FE Officer, Apprentice Officer and Part Time/ Mature Student officer) to work with students and apprentices from across the college
VP Activities – This role is to champion participation in college activities, to campaign and lead on social justice matters and support SU Officers (Societies Officer, Environmental Officer and Marketing Officer) to engage students in building community and participating in enrichment in the college.
