Texas Assessment Generator

Special thanks to Rob Sikora for help with this page.

TAG is a database of test questions within DMAC for almost every content area from various sources. Test Questions from TEA (old STAAR and TAKS tests), TEKS - Resource, DMAC created, and other teacher created questions. These questions are searchable by TEK, items, keywords, pictures, etc.

You can create and save quizzes and tests and can pair with TEK Score to get great data. (Students can answer on scantrons or on their computer for immediate results).

How do I use TAG?

  • Before you start your next unit, semester, etc. know what you need/want to teach and create a summative assessment making sure you cover that material and your students learn the material.

  • Pair this with TEK Score and get valuable data to see where the kids struggle and to make educated guesses to why they chose the wrong answers.

    • Did they not understand the info?

    • Was it a poor question?

    • Did they not understand a term, concept, diagram, etc?

    • Re-teach with efficiency what they did not learn or understand and move on with confidence!

Who is using TAG at Sanger High School?

Our EOC teachers are working with TAG and in some cases TEK Score in their beginning stages:

Biology - Valdez, Kretz, Hahn

History - Ford, Schmidtke, Grugrich, Langley

Here are some videos that can help you navigate through TAG.

Here is a TEKScore User Manual from the DMAC group. This will help you with online TAG test taking, logging students in, looking at test keys, and looking at the results.
