2339 Language Based Support
Grades 9-12: .5 Credit Per semester
This course is designed to serve students who have been diagnosed with a communication or language based learning disability. Instruction is provided in a small group setting where students receive remediation in their weaker skill area while learning strategies to successfully access the general education curriculum. Special education teachers and general education teachers communicate regularly to keep students on pace within their inclusion classes while supporting the individual accommodations or modifications to assure that each student achieve his or her potential through personalized and differentiated instruction as identified in the student’s IEP.
