In this independent study class students will gain a fundamental understanding of what it is like to work in a Technology Help Desk. Students will familiarize themselves with varying topics in the industry including:

• Networking
• Computer repair
• Software maintenance, installation, configuration & troubleshooting
• Servers and virtual computing
• Customer support best practices, including virtual & remote support
• Knowledge base creation and documentation
• Virtual & remote support

Students will work closely with trained technicians to solve real-world problems; skills learned in this course are easily transferable to internships or other jobs in technology.
