Students learn to investigate and to report on what is happening in their school community. The program focuses on journalistic ethics and on the practical skills formed in researching, writing, and editing news stories to meet stringent deadlines. Standards of individual reliability and responsibility, including movement around the school building, are strictly maintained. Units of study include news and feature writing, interviewing techniques, principles of journalism, and photojournalism.
