SMHS students peruse the stacks at Ladd Library at Bates College Monday
Today we are on a field trip with the SMHS Senior Class to Ladd Library at Bates College in Lewiston. This is our second trip here this year. Seniors get to visit the library for research for papers they are writing inSenior and AP English and history. Students get to use a college library catalog, visit the stacks of a multi-floor library, and familiarize themselves with Library of Congress classification. It is a great opportunity for our students to get a true college experience before starting at one in the fall.
Our SMHS students blend right in with the college students! On their second trip to Ladd Library, they are much more confident and independent here.
