Spruce Mountain School Department (RSU 73) includes the towns of Jay, Livermore, and Livermore Falls in Western Maine. Our four libraries proudly serve over 1,450 students and 225 staff in our school community.

The Spruce Mountain Primary School Library is an inviting and comfortable space at the heart of the school building. The atmosphere is friendly and colorful, and students thoroughly enjoy joining Mrs. Mills on the rug for a great readaloud. The collection is large and current, including diverse picture books, leveled readers for skill development, high-quality nonfiction, and early chapter books.

Spruce Mountain Elementary School's Library is warm and friendly. Miss Wilkins enjoys teaching children using her Smartboard, reading aloud to them, and sharing her enthusiasm for books and libraries. The collection includes a newly expanded collection of high-quality, award-winning chapter books for all types of readers, picture books, leveled readers, and nonfiction on curricular and kid-friendly topics.

You can't miss Spruce Mountain Middle School's Library, at the top of the stairs as you first enter the building. The room is comfortable and neat, with spaces for research, studying, and reading comfortably. Whether it's resources, activities, displays, or bookmarks, Mrs. Lemire always has something new to share with students. The collection includes reference material, curricular and interest-based nonfiction, and novels appropriate for middle grade readers.

A lovely open space full of natural light, Spruce Mountain High School Library is one of the first spaces you see as you enter the school. The comprehensive nonfiction collection strives to meet the curricular and personal needs of the students and staff. Our large fiction collection includes popular titles, series, classics, and specific collections on world cultures, coming of age, horror, and more. We also circulate audiobooks, DVDs, and media equipment.
