On May 3 , Seniors in Dana Anderson's AP English Class hosted an Oxfam Style Hunger Banquet as part of their Independent Research Projects at Freeport Community Services. Student projects were show cased along with FHS artists who created pieces to complement the research topics. Student musicians performed and sang while patrons enjoyed a delicious meal, and engaged in thought conversation inspired by student research. Local businesses generously donated to this event that raised awareness about the inequities world wide. All proceeds from the event benefited Freeport Community Services Food Pantry and Oxfam America.
