Accessibility Project

Students at Freeport High School partnered with the Freeport Accessibility Task Force and Access Design/Alpha One to review access in Freeport businesses, schools and organizations with a focus on the village shopping area.  They were trained to use tools and take specific measurements to see how accessible places are for people who have disabilities. They rated them using a star system and entered the data into AXSmap, which is a crowdsource tool for sharing accessibility.
