Madame Varela and her French V class lent a helping hand to our neighboring french school, L'Ecole Francaise, in South Freeport. FHS librarian Mary Moore facilitated the book covering project for the L'Ecole Francaise's library, which was in need of having over 50 french books covered to protect them and prolong their shelf life. FHS students worked in our library to tackle this project. It was a nice opportunity for them to have french conversation while serving a need for others. Two days later the class delivered the books to the french school and FHS students got to partner with the younger students and read to them. It was a very successful and fun day. We look forward to more activities and partnership with L'Ecole Francaise!
