On April 17, 2014 the students and staff at Freeport High School participated in an all school, wellness day and walked 2.5 miles through downtown Freeport to support Muscular Dystrophy and Epilepsy Foundation. It was a great school wide, spirited event that raised $3,200 to support these charities. Students solicited pledges from family members, neighbors, and friends. JMG (Jobs For Maine Graduates program) and Interact Service Club created and sponsored the event. Freeport High School has past and current students who have been affected by epilepsy and muscular dystrophy. This walk was in their honor and to all of those who suffer from seizures and disease.
