Furniture Friends
Students at Freeport High School have been volunteering with Furniture Friends, a non-profit organization that provides donated furniture to people in need in the Greater Portland area. Many are New Mainers as well people who have been homeless or struggling. Students travel to the warehouse in Westbrook to load up the truck and deliver to people, meet them and help them set up their apartments. Sometimes students will pick up donations and bring them to the warehouse where they are inventoried.
