Moonlight Madness Run Event

On Thanksgiving night, the Freeport High School Interact service club hosted the Moonlight Madness 1 mile Run/Walk event to raise money for Freeport Community Services Fuel Assistance Fund.  Students worked hard securing donations, finding local sponsors, creating flyers and marketing the event, organizing volunteers and tasks, packing Swag bags, race day registration, race marshal duties, and set up and clean up.  There were over 135 participants who came out to run just shy of midnight. Santa on his Harley got the racers started.   Once the race was over, the stores opened their doors and Black Friday began!  It was a very successful event!  They raised $600 for the fuel assistance fund.
