Anzac biscuits: We will discuss how certain foods helped to boost the morale of soldiers. Why do certain foods make us feel good?

Commonly called "It's a Long Way to Tipperary", the original printed music calls it "It's a Long, Long Way to Tipperary." It became popular among soldiers in the First World War and is remembered as a song of that war.

WWII: We'll meet again.
History/Geography (Mrs Moala):
We will dig deeper into the different battles and important locations of WW1. How do those locations look today? How did the war change the areas?
PE(Miss Peato):
We will research the type of training completed by the men and women who work in the NZ Defence Forces. Create a drill and teach it to the rest of the class.
Art (Ms Tito & Miss Clark):
We will discuss symbols that came out of the war - Poppy, white cross etc. How has the war been portrayed in different forms of art? Design and create own piece of art that reflects the same values and purpose.
