The MD/DE Chapter of Percussive Arts Society presents:
Day of Percussion!
When: Sunday March 7. 2010
What: Hands-on workshops geared toward beginner to intermediate percussion students and band/orchestra directors will run from 9:30-10:30.
9:30 Accessory Percussion (with percussionist Glenn Sewell)
10:30 Drumset (with big-band drummer Marty Knepp)
And: Following the FUNdamentals clinics, the day continues with a drum set clinic by Terri Lyne Carrington (Berklee College of Music), a jazz vibraphone clinic with Patrick Roulet (Towson University), a marching percussion clinic with James Ancona (University of Delaware), a South Indian percussion clinic with Rajna Swaminathan, and performances by the Vanderbeeek/Tiemann Duo and the percussion ensembles of University of Delaware and Centennial High School.

General admission is $15, but students registering before 9:30 am pay only $10. Registration begins at 9:15 in the lobby of Goucher College’s Kraushaar Auditorium. No pre-registration necessary—Just show up! Lunch will be available for purchase in the lobby.

Directions: Directions to 2201 Argonne Drive, Baltimore, Maryland 21251: The Murphy Fine Arts Center is located on the campus of Morgan State University in Northeast Baltimore on Argonne Dr. between Hillen Rd and Harford Rd.
Parking is free in the “Y” lot. Access the “Y” lot from Argonne Drive. Turn onto McCallum Drive. Travel straight through 1st STOP sign, to reach the rear of the Murphy Fine Arts Center. Bear to right at 2nd STOP sign. See parking lot entrance on left.
