Dear Marching Band,
Again, we have been invited to perform at the annual Honor Roll Assembly. The assembly is scheduled for Wednesday, Feb 15 1st-period at 9:30am. Marching Band members are expected to report to the band room no later than 9:15am. Like before the official attire is as follows:
1.School uniform with the black shirt.
2. No exceptions!
The directions for the event is as follows:
1. All auxiliaries (flag, Baton, and dance) members must see me prior to Wednesday morning (Feb 15) , Mr. Jiles in room D174, in order to obtain a white/red/green wrist band in order to perform. Failure to do so will exclude you from the performance. You have obtained a wrist band in order to perform. No exceptions.
2. Prior to the performance, if you can not follow directions you will not be allowed to perform and will be asked to return back to your class. Failure to follow directions will result in you being suspended and or your membership terminated form the Marching Band.
3. I will line the band up in the band hallway. You will be expected to be silent and remain in place and in line. Failure to do so will result in you not being allowed to perform.
4. Insubordination and failure to follow directions will not be tolerated. Again, failure to follow directions will result in you not performing and being suspended or terminated form the marching band.
5. Please review our band motto which reads "The legacy begins with me: motivated, dedicated, respectful, responsible, teachable, Puma Pride"!
6. For those students, enrolled in the band class this is a graded (500-point) performance. If your teacher does not release you out of your class because of your poor behavior that is too bad. All band members are expected to participate. You teacher will be notified about your absence via e-mail. This event and performance has been approved by Principal Marrow.
Students, I expect you to be in place, exhibit high school spirit, execute all band maneuvers with energy and pride, follow directions, and play your music with excitement, enthusiasm, and energy, and most importantly have fun and enjoy the performance. Do not force me to have to exclude you form the performance. I expect you to do what you are told to do the first time and follow directions! I should not have to repeatedly ask you to stop talking and get in line. Students, this is your band. Take pride in your performance and your behavior.
