This first message is intended for those students (Instrumental Students) who have obtained A 2012 Redskins ID Badge and who have worked this season. If you do not have a badge this does not apply to you.
Good Morning Puma Band and Pre-Happy Holidays Wishes,
The purpose of this e-mail is to seek volunteers for the December 30 Redskins game. Currently, the game is schedule for 1pm with a report time of 8:30am. However, be mindful that the NFL can change the game time to later that day.
Priority scheduling will be given to those of you who have worked three or more games this season and have worked the night (8:30pm) game. I have spoken to several of you however I do not remember who I spoke with. We I think I have confirmed the following instrumental people:

This next message is intended for Concert Band students.
1. Solo & Ensemble Festival
Many of you missed the deadline to submit your $10.00 payment for the Prince George Solo and Ensemble Festival. However, I have been granted until January 3 to submit the payment. Therefore, if you did not submit your payment you have to give it to me immediately when we return to school. Please bring exact change, I am not an ATM. The fee is $10.00 per group or ensemble, not per person.
Upcoming Events
A. Cluster Concert- Wednesday, Jan. 23 at 7pm at Wise H.S.
B. Solo & Ensemble Assessment Festival- Saturday, Feb 2, 2013 (Performance time will be available when in a few weeks) Band Students be mindful that this is a mandatory graded event. If I have not spoken to you, you are not exempt form this event!
C. Prince George's County Band Assessment Festival-March 22-23 at Wise. Our performance time will be available in February.
D. Spring Concert- Tuesday, May 13 at 6pm.
E. Performing Arts Awards Banquet Friday, May 17, 2013-Location & time TBA. This time is set aside to give awards to all students.
F. Graduation-May 30. All non graduating instrumental students are required to perform. This is a mandatory graded event.
Myrtle Beach Trip
3. The proposed trip to Myrtle Beach has been approved! Details will be made available and a Parent meeting will be scheduled when we return back to school. Parents, this is an extra-curricula activity. Therefore do not let your child they are required to attend. This trip is for those students who have shown dedication, commitment, respectfulness, responsibility and have a genuine desire to help earn more trophies for the band and our school.

4. Parents, I am trying to improve our lines of communication. I am doing my best to keep you informed. If you have any ideas and or would like to volunteer to serve as a Parent liaison please e-mail me ASAP. I can not do this alone Some times your child will forget to inform you of things.
