Today in class we worked on Lesson 6.7: Probability & Odds
- We talked about the vocabulary terms related to Probability
- We learned the difference between Theoretical & Experimental Probability:
- We talked about the Probability of an event: P= # of successes/number of outcomes; P = # of favorable outcomes/total outcomes.
- We practiced with a few probability problems
- Homework Tonight:
- p. 321-322 #7-12 all
Tuesday:
Today in class we focused on Probability and "Fair Games."
- We read through examples of "fair games, " and games that are not fair.
- We applied the Fair Game rule to a dice experiment
- We tried the experiment theoretically with a table, then performed the experiment

- WSQ Notes/Preview Lesson 6.8: The Multiplication Principle (and using Tree Diagrams)
Wednesday:
Today in class we began Lesson 6.8: The Multiplication Principle
- We went over p. 326
- We discussed the Tree Diagram Video from yesterday
- We talked about Tree Diagrams & The Multiplication Principle
- We practiced with examples
- Homework Tonight:
- p. 329-330 #7-9, #11-14
- WSQ Notes/Preview: The Addition Principle (this is a little advanced, but a nice preview...)
Thursday:
Today in class we took a formative Check In on 6.6-6.8 and then began a lesson about using the Addition Principle
- We went over p. 329-330 #7-9, #11-14
- We discussed the WSQ/Preview of the Addition Principle
- We took Check In 6.6-6.8 on Canvas
- We worked on p. 332-333 in the book
- Homework Tonight:
- Finish p. 333 #1-14 all
- Chapter 6 Test is Tuesday!
- IXL (J & K) is due Thursday
Friday:
Today in class we began our Review for the Chapter 6 Test
- We went over Check In 6.6-6.8
- We reviewed the concepts of how to solve for "Odds in Favor" and "Odds Against"
- We had some time to begin the Chapter 6 "Review" Test
- Homework Tonight:
- p. 338 #1-23 all
- IXL is Due Thursday
- Chapter 6 Test Begins Tuesday!
