Monday:
Today in class we learned about the Digital Component to Everyday Math
- We received our usernames & passwords for logging into our accounts (please see Mrs. Segal if you are still unsure on how to login)
- We did a module in class to learn about the online tools
- We also received a "packet" with all of the information we learned about in class.
Homework Tonight:
- Finish the module from class (Lesson 0-0), Part 2 "Lesson Activity Practice"
- If you haven't already, please go over math guideline packet (from Friday) with your parents and bring the last sheet back, signed, by Friday (9/2)
Tuesday:
Today in class we took the Beginning of the Year Assessment
- We talked about how last night's homework went
- We took the assessment
- We had time to look over the expectations for tonight's homework
Homework Tonight:
- "Tabbing Student Reference Book" Worksheet
- Since our SRB (Student Reference Book) is digital, you should not follow the first few steps about using post-it notes. Just fill out the table in Problem #1, then answer the rest of the questions on the page.

Wednesday:
Begin Lesson 1.1: I can use the Student Reference Book (SRB) to form statistical questions.
We focused on the following Standards of Mathematical Practice
- SMP 5: Use appropriate tools strategically and
- SMP 6: Attend to precision.
Today in class:
- We went over the "Tabbing" worksheet from yesterday and talked about some troubleshooting
- We began lesson 1.1 (Math Journal p. 1)
- We began the vocabulary note for lesson 1.1: Data, Statistical Questions, Statistics, and Ranges (we will continue these definitions tomorrow)
Homework Tonight:
- Math Journal (Math Boxes) p. 4
- Give Home Link 1.1 to your parents (the Family Letter)
- Play Factor Captor (if you haven't already)
