Today in class we wrapped up the Chapter 5 Summative
- Students who finished early began IXL Practice in Sections J & K
- We began an introduction to modeling Ratio Problems. This will continue in class tomorrow
- Homework Tonight:
- Begin IXL Practice for Chapter 6: Sections J & K
Wednesday:
Today in class we continued our introduction to Ratio Problems.
- We talked about the (Math Counts Challenge- Due to me no later than 3/10) Groups of 4!

Thursday:
Today in class we continued to model ratio/rate problems with tape diagrams
- We wrapped up the Math Counts Challenge discussion
- We went over the Worksheet from yesterday
- We worked on Practice Tape Diagrams (re-watch the Learnzillion Video from yesterday for clarification (the pdfs were emailed to you)
- Homework Tonight:
- Finish the PDF worksheets that were emailed to you and we worked on in class today
- WSQ Notes/Preview Lesson 6.1: Ratios & Rates (give yourself about 25 minutes!)
Friday:
Today in class we began Lesson 6.1: Ratios & Rates
- We went over the tape diagram worksheets from yesterday
- We went over the WSQ Notes from 6.1
- We went over the different ways to write a ratio or a rate
- We also talked about how to solve for Unit Rate
- Lastly we practiced a few problems together

- p. 278 #10-38 even
- Keep up with IXL Practice
