Task 1: SURVEY

In pairs, ask your Vietnamese Partner to

• give you examples of how each expression on the Resources page is used in context
• tell you which dialect it is in, and how it is expressed in the other major dialect of Vietnamese
• record your Vietnamese Partner's answers

Task 2: VIDEO CLIP

• Together, create a video clip no longer than 2 minutes to illustrate the variation in expressions between Northern and Southern Vietnamese, in context.
• You can select three of the expressions on the Resources page or others that you choose for your video.
• You can illustrate the variations in situational format like this video clip on stereotypes about young women in Hanoi and Saigon, or in interview format like this video clip with two Korean learners of Vietnamese speaking about dialectal differences between Northern and Southern Vietnamese.
