Paper Poster

Paper Poster must Include the following:

    1. Title of your project

    2. Your name

    3. One paragraph describing what you did

    4. One graph or table showing your data including all the trials that were made

      • Graphs and tables must have correct units and X & Y axes labeled.

    5. One paragraph stating the conclusions you have drawn based on the data collected. Your conclusion should state what the average value was for all your data. You may have more than one average value to state. The example below only has one average value in the conclusion because that is all that is needed.

Paper Poster Format:

    1. Must be computer-generated.

    2. Preferably done on a standard 8.5 x 11" sheet of computer paper.

Paper Poster Example:

    • Structure your paper poster just like the one below. Simply replace the examples with your own words.

    • The "Text Box" represents a sheet of computer paper.

(Title:) Marble Speed

(Name:) Sally Evergrade

(Procedure:) A wood ramp was constructed that was 150 cm long and tilted to a height of 15 cm. A marble was rolled down the ramp and the time it took for the marble to go the length of the ramp was measured with a stop watch. The experiment was repeated four times.

(Data Table:)

(Conclusion:) Based on the data above, the average speed of the marble was 0.54 m/s. This was slower than we had hypothesized. Based on what we know about the law of gravity, we hypothesize that a larger marble would travel at a slower speed down the same ramp.
