What do we mean when we say that the gas laws apply if we assume that gas particle interactions are ideal? What does the "ideal" mean and relate it to actual interactions.

Why can we ignore that fact that gases don't behave "ideally", yet the ideal gas laws are useful to us?

We live in a "fallen" world, a world tainted by sin. How can we "see" attributes of God, who is "ideal", in a creation that does not behave "ideally"?
