The Sun shines on the panels which allows photons (which are small particles of light)
to knock electrons free from their atom which creates the flow of electricity. The process
of light turning into energy is called “PhotoVoltaic.”
Where will Solar Panels work?
Solar panels will work anywhere, where there is sunlight, which 87% of the Earth is
rechargeable by sunlight. Even outer space is reachable by the sun so satelites can
use the sun's energy too.
Pros of Solar Panels:
It is renewable
It can produce up to 6000 watts per day for your home
It can make the electric company pay you, if you produce more electricity than you need.
Cons of Solar Panels:
can make the electric company lose money.
They are flammable
My opinion:
I think that solar panels are very good for the environment and people.
The pros outweigh the cons showing that solar panels are more good than bad.
Also solar panels can make people money which is never bad. Also solar panels
go to one home unlike wind power where you get a small portion of a big generator.
Over all solar panels are very good for the environment and for homes.
Also solar plants make 6 terrawatts every 12 hours which means every 24 hours, there will be 12 terrawatts made.
