The file cloud allows you to upload images, documents, and videos to be used with your reports or as additional documentation. The file cloud can accept a wide variety of file types .jpg .jpeg .png .pdf .dwf .dwg .dwx .rvt .xls .xlsx .doc .docx .mp3 .wav .m4v .mov. The first 100 MB of files uploaded to the file cloud is free and after that it is $10 per GB. Files uploaded to the File Cloud can be attached to reports through the book editor on the Reports tab. The upload file size limit is 200 MB.
File Cloud Overview:
From the File Cloud tab you can add, delete, download, and assign files to equipment or projects, we will go over each option in more details below.
Project Navigation: Project navigation allows you to browse between the different levels of the File Cloud to view files. If a project or piece of equipment has a paperclip next to it that indicates that their are files attached.
Project Level File: These are files that are associated with the project but don't need to be attached to a specific piece of equipment, you might have cover pages or blueprints stored this way.
Equipment Level File: Equipment files are for files that are related to a specific piece of equipment, for example you may have images of the equipment as an equipment level file.
Upload Files: Allows you to upload files to the file cloud, detailed more below.
Assign Files: Assign Files allows you to assign a file to a specific piece of equipment from your file cloud.
Assign Selected Files: Allows you to check the box next to a file already on the project and assign it to a piece of equipment
Delete Selected Files: If you check the box next to the the file or files you want to delete and click on delete selected.
Download Selected Files: You can download multiple files by checking the box on the left side of the file name and clicking download Selected.
Download Files: To download a single file click on the download button.
Save Changes: Allows you to save any changes in file linkage or other file modifications.
Storage Space Details: The storage space details let you know how much data is being used by the project.
Uploading Files:
Clicking Select Files allows you to add a file or files that you want to attach to equipment, projects, or store at the company level, a file can be uploaded to more than one location.
Root Container allows you to select the project you want to upload the file to or allows you to attach the file at the company level.
Equipment Type will populate a list of that type of equipment(Hydronic Pump in this example) on the project so you can attach a file to it.
Select equipment that you want to be the destination for the file if you want it attached to a specific piece of equipment.
Add Selected adds the destination for your upload to the list on the right.
Clicking Delete will remove the selected upload destination from the list for your file.
Clicking on Tags to add will bring up a list of tags you can assign to your uploaded file.
The Submit and Done button will upload the file and go back to the File Cloud tab.
The Submit and Upload More option will upload your file and reload the page to allow you to upload another file.
