To open the Detail Equipment Grid for a piece of equipment click on the equipment name you want to open, in this example it would be HWP-01.

Field Data Tab
The Field Data tab data is populated from a "Global Library" where you have defined equipment data parameters to be recorded as well as equipment test steps for completing the start-up, installation, pre-functional, commissioning and balancing of a piece of equipment. If you are an administrator, you can enable/disable various test steps (customized) for each project.
The Field Data tab is where you will enter or view all of the field data for the equipment, including the General data like Make and Model. The options listed on this image are just an example, your company can customize them to fit their needs. You may want to check the Enable auto save button to make sure that your changes are automatically saved every time you enter data.

FPT Tab
The FPT tab allows you to write customized Functional Performance Test (FPT) plans for each project from scratch. You can also mark FPT test steps as "default" for a project. This allows you to create a single FPT test plan for each type of equipment. Then additional equipment objects of that type will automatically display the FPT test steps you have already created for that equipment type on this specific project. You can then further customize each piece of equipment individually if you like.
Due to the fact, FPT are custom to each project. When you first open the FPT page, unless you have already defined another equipment object of the same type with default FPT steps, the page will be blank. So, your first step is to add a number of FPT steps. If you already have an FPT template, maybe from a Word document or Excel file, the simplest thing to do is count up the total number of FPT test steps. Whatever the total number of steps is, enter it where we entered the number #1 Below click the Add FPT button from the Add FPT drop-down menu, and then from the dialog window that opens select 10 on the number of items drop-down menu and click on +Add.

FPT Tab - SAMPLE FORMATTED REPORT
A simple example of a formatted FPT test plan on the web is displayed below. Note how the web groups all "like" category/FPT group steps together as seen in #1 and #2.
Here we have two main category groups for our simple example:
1.0 Lead/Lag
1.1 Differential Pressure Control
NOTE: Use of a numbering system helps to keep the order as you like it. If you will have greater than NINE sections, you will need to include a leading zero such as 01.0 Lead/Lag.
The FPT test steps and script for the FPT test are seen in area #3. Frequently such "commands" as RECORD, ACTION, and RESPONSE are used to facilitate what the step is looking for or required by the technician in the field.
RECORD indicates you need to write down a starting state before a test begins, or a result state after an ACTION.
An ACTION is general turning on/off a switch or HOA from Auto to on/off. An ACTION is also things such as changing a setpoint whether via a BAS setpoint or a room thermostat.
A RESPONSE as a simple PASS / FAIL or an observation.

The last major element to point out when creating a FPT test plans on the web is the fact you can use the Units column to drive specialized formatting. The two formatting options you have is to make a line item a LABEL or to make it a BOOLEAN response. The label formatting on the FPT step makes the field tool display the step as a read only and no action or response is required. The Boolean formatting on the FPT step makes the field tool prompt the user for a "Pass/Fail" or "Yes/No" response to the step. As you can see in the FPT above, the formatting is applied and the end result is creating a field tool view such as the iPAD seen with a screen shot below.

Log Tab
Log tab is simply a location to write comments specific for a piece of equipment. Comments can include how you plan to test it or other broader comments about a piece of equipment, there is a 1500 character limit for log comments.
Issue Tab
The Issue tab is where you create or view issues for a single piece of equipment. Typically, you would use the project level issue log to view issues across all equipment types and even project level issues. But you can also view issues for a specific piece of equipment on this tab. Most of the time issues will be "created" using a field tool and ideally by 'scanning' the Building Tag attached to the equipment.
You can add a blank issue with the "Add Issue " button as seen with #1 Below , alternately, you can add an issue from a pre-defined library.
