The Law & Tech community is deeply saddened to announce the passing of our dear friend and colleague, Gennedy Zaretsky.
Gennedy, better known as "Mr. Z" to the students and staff here at Law & Tech, served as the backbone of our school for so long. He played a huge role in developing our technology and mathematics programs, guiding our students to knowledge in ways that many teachers only dream of. His passion was with inspiring his students, but he also played a critical role behind the scenes. Putting in countless hours to ensure that ever student had the necessary classes every fall and spring, he served as our school's registrar and programmer. This was the side of Mr. Z that people rarely saw, but it was the side of him that truly kept our school functioning efficiently on an everyday basis.
If you knew Mr. Z, you knew how incredibly generous and kind he was. No matter what he was doing (and he did a lot!), if you needed something, he would never turn you away. Always, always willing to lend a helping hand, Mr. Z will be truly missed by every student, teacher or administrator that knew him through his years here at Law & Tech. Law & Tech would never be what it is today without Mr. Z.
We were his family and he was ours. Mr. Z will never, ever be forgotten. In fact, to showcase our love and admiration for the dedication he showed to our institution through the years, Law & Tech will be dedicating part of the first floor of our building in his honor.
We love you, Z. Rest In Peace.
