On April 13, the Law & Tech Track and Field team competed with the best in the city at 2013 Mayor's Cup on Randall's Island.
A major highlight of the meet included our freshman boy's third place overall finish in the 4x100 meter relay. The team consisted of Keandre Foster, Raheem Laing, Kevin Hudson, and Nohvelle Brown, who displayed why the future of Law & Tech Track is very promising. They finished with a time of 49.53 seconds in the relay, earning them the best finish for a Law & Tech relay team in school history.
Other highlights included a strong running by four-year team captain Sherland Neverson in the girl's 100 meter dash, who finished 12th overall in a highly competitive field. Also, Tierno Diallo and Shemal Brinkley finished overall in 10th place and 17th place, respectively, in the boy's 100 meter dash. Both Tierno and Shemal are juniors, and will surely improve their performance going in to next year.
Coach Charles has done an impeccable work with the team this year, providing his guidance and support to our track and field athletes. As the 2013 season comes to a close, stay tuned to bklawtech.com for further updates on the team!
