12.16.11 | Girls Night In is a Huge Success!
Young ladies of Law and Tech flooded the gymnasium Friday evening on the 9th of December for a special “Girls Night In.”
The event was a dynamic evening filled with fun, excitement and fellowship among students and teachers. The girls followed a strict agenda, jammed with interesting activities and exciting games. The main goal of this momentous event was to create an opportunity for the girls to enjoy, to help build up their self esteem, and to improve relationships and academics.
Watch out for our upcoming "Boys Day Out" and "Girls Day Out." These will take place late May of 2012. Hope to see you there!
3.23.11 | Our New Name, Our New Look
As you can see, we have made some changes around here!
Our new name is official: Brooklyn High School for Law and Technology, also simply known as Law & Tech. Our new URL is www.bklawtech.com.
We are looking to the future, and the new name and design of our website are the first steps. Other than what you see here, nothing important will change for now. The Law & Tech community should be aware that we will be implementing a new email system next school year (starting in September 2011) with our new domain @bklawtech.com - your SOJO email account will no longer be available for use at that time. Have important data saved in Google and don't want to lose it? Don't worry, details on this change and how to transfer your email, docs, calenders, sites and other data will be released soon. Stay tuned for other important updates regarding our name and website as we make them available.
Scholars, staff, parents/guardians, and visitors...welcome to our new name and new look!

11.3.11 | Law & Tech Scholars Critique 'Contagion'
Some of our ninth grade scholars recently went to a private screening of the American medical thriller film Contagion directed by Steven Soderbergh. The scholars, who are studying living environment, had much to say about the film and, as a result, contributed a detailed analysis of the film. A special thanks goes out to scholars David Mosley and Terrance Sumpter for allowing our website to publish their articles. Also, thank you to Ms. Servania and the rest of the 9th grade team of Ms. Johnson, Ms. Alexis, Ms. Stuart, Mr. Knight, Ms. Dolce, and Mr. Charles for their effort in making the project happen.

9.7.11 | Important: Old SOJO Email Accounts
Out with the old and in with the new! Due to our recent name change, we at Law & Tech must update our school email infrastructure. As of November 1, 2011, you will no longer have access to your SOJO email account and any Google Docs, Calendars, and/or Presentations that you had created with it.
This applies to all individuals that had an acornsojo account, including faculty, current students and alumni.
For current faculty and students, you may transfer any and all of your data to your new account bklawtech account, but you must do so manually. For former faculty and alumni, you may transfer your data to any personal Gmail account, but again, you must do so manually. This means that you must forward any emails that you would like to keep. For Google Documents/calenders/presentations, you can download the documents to your computer and then upload them to you new account.
We understand that this may be a hassle, but it is something that needs to be done to completely move forward with our Law & Technology initiative.
