GenCyber CS4CS is a FREE, three-week, full-day summer program providing an introduction for high school women on the fundamentals of cyber security and computer science at the NYU Tandon School of Engineering. No background or experience in cyber security or computer programming is needed in order to apply, only your interest and enthusiasm. Applications are due by Wednesday April 27th, 2016, 5PM. The GenCyber CS4CS Program is generously funded by the National Science Foundation and National Security Agency. The program is led by Professor Nasir Memon, head of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering and the Offensive Security, Incident Response and Internet Security (OSIRIS) Laboratory.
We are looking for young women currently in high school (9th, 10th, 11th, or 12th grade) who live within daily commuting distance to NYU Tandon School of Engineering, 6 MetroTech Center, Brooklyn NY, 11201. The program meets Monday-Friday for three weeks.
Applicants must live within daily commuting distance to the program. Housing and meals are not provided. Students will receive a small stipend upon completing the program to cover the cost of transportation within NYC (round-trip subway fare).
There is NO COST to apply or to attend.
Two groups of students will attend the camp on NYU Tandon School of Engineering campus, 6 MetroTech Center, Brooklyn NY, 11201.
Application Due: Wednesday, April 27th, by 5PM
Dates: Weekdays, only, Tuesday, July 5th – Friday, July 22nd
Time: 9AM to approximately 3PM or 4PM, depending on the day’s activities.
