6.9.12 | NYISL Founder is New Yorker of the Week

This past spring, our soccer team was one of eight teams selected to join the newly-founded New York Independent Schools League (NYISL). The league is the result of a collaboration between Adidas, City Sports, and the World Soccer Project whose mission is to to help serve under-served youth around the world. Yesterday, Greg Pinel, the founder of the league, was proclaimed the 'New Yorker of the Week' by NY1 for his work in helping to organize and structure the league. Working closely with Greg in developing the league were Law & Tech's own, Coach Rohner and Mr. Farina. Along with many other volunteers and coaches, dozens of New York City young men and women were able to play organized soccer with other youth from around the city. A huge thank you goes out to Greg for giving our Law & Tech scholar-athletes the opportunity to play and compete in the NYISL. We're looking forward to next year!
