On Friday, March 8, the Law & Tech Robotics Team made history by competing in their first-ever New York City FTC Robotics Competition.
The competition was held at the Javits Center and sponsored by NYU-Poly. The Law & Tech team consisted of sophmore Brandon Richards, junior Kamol Calliste, freshman Nicholas Harper, junior Kurt Sydney, and freshman Kayshawn Hendricks. After weeks and weeks of building, tinkering, and making adjustments to their robot, they competing against over 70 other NYC High Schools in a "battle of the bots." See photos below of their amazing experience leading up to and during the event.
The huge thank you goes out to NYU-Poly for granting Law & Tech with a AMPS/CBRI Fellow, simply known to our robotics team as "Stan", to help guide and train our team to compete with NYC's best and brightest in the field of robotics.
Law & Tech Students: Like what you see? Want to be part of the action and learn to build the next robot to represent team Law & Tech in 2014? The Law & Tech robotics team is constantly looking for new members who are excited to learn about engineering and robotics. The season is hardly over, as we have several more projects in store leading up to June and beyond. All interested students should see Mr. Palacios in room 516 today.
