Big things are happening here at Law & Tech.
News 12 Brooklyn recently paid a visit to showcase some of the amazing things that are happening inside the walls of 1396 Broadway. You can view the complete feature here.
Two years ago, led by Principal Michael Prayor, several members of the staff wrote a proposal to the Department of Education for the need to expand the opportunities for our students, specifically our young men. With the generous aid and guidance from the Expanded Success Initiative (ESI), Law & Tech has transformed that support into a school culture that fully supports our young people in a multitude of ways.
Our focus has been on college and career prep and motivating our young men to overcome the many barriers they face on a day-to-day basis. This includes mentoring, restorative justice and after-school programs, early college access, and developing a mindset which will ultimately change their perspecitive on what they can achieve in society, among several other initiatives.
We would like to humbly thank the Expanded Success Initiative for helping to provide us with the support to change the mindsets of our young men and give them opportunities they did not have before. We would also like to thank News 12 for showcasing this and shedding some light on what we're trying to do here at Law 7 Tech.
