On Saturday, November 10, 2012 Law & Tech students from across the grade levels traveled to the annual New York Urban League Historically Black College and Universities College Fair.
Over 50 HBCU’s were in attendance during the fair. The Riverbank State Park gymnasium bustled with eager students and families who were excited to learn about college admissions, financial aid, and student life at historically black colleges and institutions. Our students had the opportunity to have their transcripts reviewed by admissions representatives from throughout the country. The Law and Tech contingent took full advantage of the opportunity to speak and to network with current college students about their experiences and about life on campus. In addition to the school presentations, students participated in workshops about the SAT vs. ACT, “Financing Your Education” and “Why the HBCU Experience?” The afternoon was both informative and enjoyable!
