Pupil Premium Funding
The pupil premium is additional funding given to schools from the Government to address the underlying inequalities between pupils eligible for Free School Meals and those financially better off. The school also receives funding for children in the care of the local authority (LAC ) and those who are adopted. Funding is allocated per number of pupils identified. Schools themselves decide how to use this funding to support these pupils as they are best placed to assess what educational provision will secure the best outcomes for them.
