Pupil Premium Funding

The pupil premium is additional funding given to schools from the Government to address the underlying inequalities between pupils eligible for Free School Meals and those financially better off. Funding is allocated per number of pupils on Free School Meals. Schools themselves decide how to use this funding to support pupils from low income families as schools are best placed to assess what additional provision should be made for the individual children within their responsibility.
