Special Educational Needs (SEND)
We work hard to support children/ with special educational needs or disabilities at Belmont Infant School.
Definition of SEND: A child or young person has SEND if they have a learning difficulty or disability which calls for special educational provision to be made.
We are committed to helping every child reach their full potential by providing them with a broad, creative curriculum that values and reflects our diverse community; enhances links between home, school and the wider community through fostering a calm, caring, respectful atmosphere where every child matters. Our goal a is to provide an inclusive environment. We welcome and integrate children with Special Educational Needs into the school community. We strive to ensure our children with SEND are able to fully participate in all aspects pf school life.
The local authority has a local offer of all services available to support children who are disabled, or who have SEN, and their families: About the Local Offer | Haringey Council
The local offer enables families to understand what services they can access and what support they can expect from a range of local agencies, including from the local authority, health services, schools, leisure services and the voluntary sector.
Anita Bright is our SENDCo and can be contacted via the office admin@belmont-inf.haringey.sch.uk
