Developing the Grant Budget

Budget-Pre-approval Requirement

Once all items in the Request For Proposal (RFP) are present and the grant budget draft is developed, Grants Development will contact the Director of Financial Accounting & Reporting and the Executive Vice President, Finance & Administration to approve the budget.

Factors to be considered in every grant budget:

• Personnel Salaries and Wages
• Fringe Benefits
• Travel Expenses
• Equipment Purchases
• Consultants
• Contractors
• Facilities & Administrative Costs (Indirect Costs)
