War Thunder Video Demonstration: Double Backflip with R2Y2
Post date: Jun 07, 2015 7:49:7 AM
Gain enough speed to do a vertical manoeuvre like the Immelman turn.
Pitch up to about 80-85 degrees. Do not exceed 85 degrees as when you will go really slow your aircraft will start pitching up continuously without elevator response until you throttle down. With about 80 degrees however you may find yourself doing a right angled L-turn and flying backwards momentarily before descending (not included in video).
Pitch up when slow to accelerate nose pitch-up moment.
When you start descending and "flying backwards" pitch down and wait for the nose to reach about 20 degrees above the horizon (when inverted) and pitch up again to accelerate your nose further. If you do it just right you may end up with a tripple backflip.
Recover from the unusual angle of attack.
Here's a video demonstration:
I'll probably re-record this since it's a fairly easy manoeuvre and this recording isn't actually that good.
