AWEBUC02: AMDS-Web Services

Goal: Provide a simple line-listing of available phGRID services the actor can select from to visualize the syndrome counts geographically or on a chart.

Actors: Public Health Investigator

Preconditions: User has appropriate rights and privileges to discover phGRID services through AMDS-Web

Success condition: Available phGRID services are displayed in a line-list format.

Scenario Progression:

1. After the user has executed the meta-query using the AMDS-Web Query builder, phGRID services matching that criteria are dynamically presented to the user in a tabular, line-list format. Each phGRID service is a hyperlink that when clicked will take the user to the phGRID services registry (AWEBUC03). There the actor can view additional descriptive information that will help determine the appropriate phGRID services for visualization. Below is an example of what AMDS-Web Services will look like:

Header: Available phGRID services for 02/01/2009-02/15/2009

2. The actor selects phGRID services that they would like to visualize by clicking a checkbox next to the name of that service returned by the meta-query. By default, all phGRID services will be selected for visualization purposes. Once selected, the default visualization of a map showing the geographic area of all phGRID services selected is displayed. If the user wishes to see a time series of aggregate counts, the user clicks on the desired geographic area on the map and a pop-up chart is displayed (see AWEBUC04).
