In 1911 Ernest Edgar Figgins was a 15-year-old schoolboy living at 168 Elms Road, Clapham with his father, Robert Edgar Figgins, a 41-year-old widower working as a "secretary (jewellery and silversmith)". Robert's sister, Alberta Emma Figgins, 36, lived with the family and is described as the "housekeeper". Two siblings are on the census:
