In 1911 Stockwell-born Frederick Ernest Palk, 33, was living at 7 Hubert Grove, Stockwell, with his wife, parents and three siblings. Frederick was working as a box maker's managing clerk and was married to Louisa M. Palk, 27, who was born in Chelsea. His father, August L. Palk, 70, was a tobacconist, from Poole, Dorset; his mother Jemima Palk, 65, was from Bexley in Kent. Frederick's siblings were Augustus H. Palk, 37, a house painter; George T/ Palk, 35, a house painter; Edith M. Palk, 29, a tobacconist's assistant (presumably helping her father in the shop). All the children were born in Stockwell.
