In 1911 Donald Haldane, then a 15-year-old schoolboy lived in 9 rooms at 54 Lillieshall Road, Clapham, with his parents, Henry Clement Haldane, 57, a "druggist sundryman", born in Chelsea, and Mary Frances Haldane, 50 born in Newbury, Berkshire, and 3 of his four siblings:
