In 1911 Joseph Robert Little lived with his grandmother, mother, sisters, a boarder and a servant at 13 Grafton Square Clapham, where the household had nine rooms. Louisa Challenger, 76, was from Camden Town, north London. Her daughter, Lily Little, 38, was born in Highgate, north London. Joseph and his two sisters Louisa Little, 14, and Frances, 12, were born in Stoke Newington, north London. George Rennell, a 57-year-old widowed commercial jeweller from Kennington, south-east London, boarded (and appears to have married Lily some time later). Ellen Champ, a 17-year-old servant from Shoreditch, east London, lived in.
