Photos of us at play

Yep--that's P taking a bath when his dad was a ranger at Donner Lake State Park...more than 60 years ago.

And here are before and after photos from P's first backpacking trip, in 1964. He and his sister and her friend hiked up to Paradise Valley for an overnight, and came back the next morning. What fun! Gotta love those outfits--and note the Sierra Club cups stylishly worn at the hip!

Hiking shoes? Converse All-Stars, long before they were a big deal.
