This is referring to our post about the Big Three--and how too many people worry about getting the perfect piece of gear, instead of getting out on the trail.

So we'd suggest to PL: Don't worry about spending good money on good equipment. You won't ever regret it.

But you should also never let the lack of money keep you out of the mountains. There's plenty of inexpensive equipment, used or new, that will work well enough to let you have a great time. And when you have the dough, you have a better idea of exactly what yol want, and why.
