Along the same lines...

The folks at Moosejaw.com sent us a nice note about how much they liked our website. Of course, they were just flattering us to see if they could get us to link to their company website, where they sell lots of backpacking gear. We don't do that kind of thing on our links page.

Our links page is for sites that really offer something beyond what we have covered in our website.

But we did like their article on getting started with ultralight backpacking gear. Remember--you don't need to be ultralight to enjoy backpacking, nor do you need to spend a lot of money on new gear. It's way more important to get out hiking.

But if you are interested in lightening your load. they have some suggestions---most of which involve items they happen to sell, but fair enough. It's a good article.
