And rain it did!

It's still not enough for the whole year, obviously, but for those of you who remember our plea for rain and snow a few days ago....our wishes have come true.

Thanks to a series of storms, Northern California is now well above the average for this time of year, and we can only hope that this will continue. We need to refresh those aquifers that were so dry after last winter's meager precipitation.

And there is even more good news, as these recent storms threatened all kinds of flooding but fell just short. Napa, where we live, is in the midst of a major flood control project, and still subject to flooding. Advisories were sent out...but the waters are now dropping a bit, and we should be just fine.
