When choosing paper for my nest I knew I wanted something colorful as I have only really worked with white and brown paper. I chose this orange-ish brown because it was sort of a fun color but was a tame start. I also really liked the texture of it. The nest I chose was the one with a hole in the bottom. I thought it might be interesting to see how I could paint the nest without explicitly showing the hole and see if you could still tell it had one. I also decided to add paper to resemble more of a nest and the weaving and addition of materials birds do. I chose green as it was a natural color and had a nice contrast against the orange.
