School building lockers are the property of the West Warwick School Department. As such, the school reserves the right to inspect the contents of the lockers and remove anything which is in violation of federal, state and/or town laws; or anything which is contrary to school rules or detrimental to the school, students and staff. Any locker that is secured by a lock or locks, whether school or student owned, is subject to removal at the request of a school administrator.
In cases of emergencies or of reasonable suspicion that the student is concealing something, possession of which is either in violation of the law or of school rules, a school administrator may remove any lock.
